From the In My Head series, This painting is inspired by the flower Petunia. Generally Petunias are associated with negative emotions, such as anger and resentment. That there is still pain remaining. Which was an inspiration when painting this portrait. She has gone through something painful, and she is still carrying those feelings. Reminding us to learn to let go and not be consumed by the emotions we have been carrying.
